Following the announcement of the brand new Valentine's Day event, it seems like Niantic has made some recent changes to the game. Several Pokemon Go fans discovered that the company made some tweaks regarding the Egg distances. These tweaks caused several Pokemon being put to another distance.
According to the report from Otakukart, Niantic probably made these changes due to the on-going Valentine's Day event. However, there is also a possibility that it is a preparation for the upcoming Generation 2 patch. It was seen that all Pokemon that have evolutions in gen 2 have been transferred to either 5 KM or 2 KM eggs.
Meanwhile, here is the list of Pokemon after the recent tweak. Starting from the 10 KM Eggs, the list includes fighting Pokemon: Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan. In addition, the list also adds Chansey, Lapras, Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Snorlax, Dratini and the Baby Pokemon Smoochum, Elekid and Magby.
On the other hand, 5 KM Eggs includes Sandshrew, Vulpix, Paras, Meowth, Psyduck, Mankey, Growlithe, Poliwag, Tentacool, Ponyta, Magnemite, Doduo, Seel, Grimer, Shellder, Onix, Drowzee, Voltorb, Cubone, Lickitung, Koffing, Rhyhorn, Tangela, Horsea, Staryu, Scyther, Pinsir, Eevee, Porygon, Pichu and Togepi.
Lastly, the 2 KM Eggs consists of the following Pokemon: Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Caterpie, Weedle, Spearow, Ekans, Nidoran-F, Nidoran-M, Zubat, Oddish, Venonat, Diglett, Abra, Machop, Bellsprout, Geodude, Slowpoke, Gastly, Krabby, Exeggcute, Goldeen, Magikarp, Cleffa and Iggybuff.
As of this writing, the details remains unclear on what Niantic had in mind with this recent change in the Egg distances. If generation 2 patch is really coming, it is expected that the list will add more Pokemon since gen 2 patch will bring another set of cute little creatures for players to catch.
On other news, Pokemon Go Valentine's Day Event started 2 days ago. Players are suggested to start catching and walking with their Buddy Pokemon since the event features a double candy drop. Furthermore, the Lure Module's effect has also been increased to 6 hours. Thus, now is a great time to spend those in-game resources.
