There have been talks in the past about Take-Two (the parent company of GTA 5 developer Rockstar Games) being interested in Nintendo Switch. However, during that time, it was all but rumors. So, in a sense, nothing official can be ferreted out. Well, no longer now -- the company is reportedly interested in the forthcoming console. And of course, this could mean something for the gamers.
According to Seeking Alpha, the big reveal was made by the company during their earnings call. It's worth noting that this meeting was rumored to have been an avenue for the executives to discuss more about the sequel to GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Apparently, it appears that the discussion was more about the future of their titles with Nintendo Switch.
Take-Two's very own CEO named Strauss Zelnick unveiled the topic. That the company, as a whole, is interested and "excited about Switch." He also revealed that they'll be support the console alongside NBA 2K18. In fact, he iterated that this is something that they've always wanted to do since day one. Because, in one way or another, when it comes to Nintendo, one would "never want to count them out."
So far, nothing specific about any other titles like GTA 5 and the likes have been revealed. Except NBA 2K18, of course. Zelnick is fully aware of this, but promised to shed some light on this area in the next few weeks to come. The CEO also suggested that they're quite "intrigued" by the console's impact in the market.
Whether or not a title like GTA 5 will arrive to Nintendo Switch, everything's been confirmed on the side of Take-Two. That the community can expect a title or more from the company to be introduced to the upcoming console. It's only a matter of time when these games will be revealed.
