Euro pricing of the top three AMD Ryzen processors was leaked yesterday. Now, prices have been leaked from the US and the UK. It seems that the Ryzen R7 1800X, R7 1700X and 1700 will be the first Ryzen processors to hit the store shelves. It's also announced that the R7 1800X and R7 1700X will be rolling out without any heat sink fan included, and only the R7 1700 will be ship out with a stock cooler. Intel has already done that with their Core i5 and i7 processors. The SKUs/ part # of the said processors seems very accurate. The only thing unclear is if the prices of these processors are exact or at least near SRP. Here are the US and UK prices below.
AMD Ryzen R7 US And UK Pricing
According to a source, the AMD Ryzen R7 1800X will have a retail price of $490.29 or £365.65. The R7 1800X features 8 cores and 16 threads with a TDP of 95W. This processor is the flagship Ryzen processor and is said to challenge with Intel's i7 6900K.Second, is the Ryzen R7 1700X with a retail price of $381.72 or £283.31. The R7 1700X will also feature 8 cores / 16 threads, 95W TDP and is said to face off with Intel's Core i7 7700K / 6800K processor. Meanwhile, The R7 1700 is a slightly slower version of the 1700X with a TDP of only 65W and has a retail price of $316.59 or £235.35 This CPU doesn't have an "X" in its model number, but as reported from AMD's presentation all AMD Ryzen processors will come unlocked multipliers and can be overclocked.
The Verdict
Furthermore, we still don't know exactly how the pricing and features of Ryzen CPUs will turn out. There will be a possibility that some of them will lack certain features, but for now, all we know is that Ryzen could be more an investment than Intel's current offerings and AMD might be set for some sizeable gains in market share in the next 12 months.
