"Criminal Minds" is featuring a Spencer-heavy episode next week. Fans of the crime drama will see Spence Reid getting involved in a murder case. The trailer for "Criminal Minds" season 12 episode 13 also shows the triple Ph-D getting locked up in a prison cell where he tries to recall the events that got him into trouble.
The titular episode has been one of the most awaited chapters of the season. Matthew Gray Gubler who plays the role of Reid has been headlined in countless rumors, claiming that he will flee the series after season 12 ends. Avid fans of "Criminal Minds" know how important the role of Reid has been in the show. A lot of the show's supporters expressed their concern as rumors kept surfacing that the "Spencer" episode will be the show's way to kill him off from the story.
Next week's episode of "Criminal Minds" then will see Reid accused of a crime that he claims he cannot remember. Flashes of scenes from the supposed murder in Mexico were shown in the episode's preview, but it was unclear if Reid was really the suspect. Many believe that the character will only be set up and might have been drugged, the reason for him to lack memories of the crime.

Also, the producer of the series, Harry Bring, responded to the comments of worried fans, saying they should not be bothered about rumors about Spencer. Hence, the "Criminal Minds" fandom will still see more of the character in new episodes.
Additionally, two characters were recently reported to guest in "Criminal Minds" season 12, episode 13. Alana De La Garza will serve as Clara Seger and Daniel Henney comes as Matthew Simons. These guest characters are speculated to be agents from the International Response Team that will handle Spencer's case.
