‘Overwatch' Updates: Tweaks Coming To Winston And Roadhog (Again)

Just after receiving a tweak from the developers at Blizzard, Overwatch's Roadhog is getting some more balance changes coming to him. What's more, fellow tank hero Winston will also be getting buffed. Hopefully the community will be happy with the incoming changes.

Buffs And Nerfs

According to the game's principal designer, Geoff Goodman, Roadhog will be getting nerfed with his hook, but buffed with his scrap gun. The cooldown for the hook has now been moved up from 6 seconds to 8 seconds, and targets are now pulled 3.5 meters toward Roadhog as compared to the former distance which was 2. Roadhog's scrap gun will be rendered more effective, however, as the spread has been decreased by 20 percent.

Game Rant has pointed out that some fans have asked for a buff toward Winston who is apparently "taking more damage than he otherwise should." The devs are planning on making critical hit volumes toward Winston decreased by 15 percent, making Overwatch's lovable nerd gorilla more viable as a tank.

Other Overwatch Issues

No official announcement has been revealed for when these changes will be applied to the actual game, but seeing that the Year of the Rooster Event and the competitive season are almost done, the changes could come very soon. In the meantime, the devs are trying to find out how to handle console players who are bringing mouse-and-keyboard setups to their platforms. Seeing that aiming is easier with the M&K setup, a lot of players who opt to use controllers are finding themselves at an enormous disadvantage.

Though the current events seem to be nearing their end, fans can look forward to the reveal of a new hero called Doomfist coming to Overwatch. The character had been teased in the cinematic trailer for the game, and some fans are eager to see if muscleman and Old Spice advocate Terry Crews will be voicing the character.

Overwatch is currently available for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
