Focus Home Interactive in an event, revealed the line-up of games that are due to be released. Here, the game GreedFall was announced to the gaming community, which turned heads due to the promise of a fantastic storyline backed up with amazing details and graphics. GreedFall is developed by Spiders, the makers of the Testament of Sherlock Holmes, and Bound by Flame, in collaboration with Focus Home Interactive. Although the game has been revealed for all the world to see, there is no word yet on the exact date of release, just that it is expected to go out in 2018.
What The Game Is About
According to PC Gamer, the game is about treasure hunters, settlers and mercenaries who all go to a mysterious island that's been rumoured to have tons and tons of treasure. However, this moves don't get unnoticed as the island's inhabitants are being disturbed and this causes tensions between the two.
How It Is Played
Greedfall is a Role Playing game that would feature Stealth and Diplomacy mechanics as another way to finish missions aside from combat. These features maybe a selling point for the game as not all players want to always fight just to finish a mission or objective in the game.
The article also says that "diplomacy" may just be another word to explain the dialogue system used to convince other characters in the game. A Spiders CEO further says that in-game decisions ranging from the smallest to the most important would actually affect and influence the course of the game.
What To Expect From GreedFall
While GreedFall is mainly developed by a small company, players and soon-to-be fans can expect amazing graphics and details in the game as it is influenced by Baroque art from the 17th Century. The kind of graphics and details offered will allow the player a unique experience while playing the game. Cédric Lagarrigue, President of Focus Home Interactive, said that the theme, universe and promise of GreedFall would make it as one of the games that the gaming community would watch closely.
Not much is known about Greedfall. However, since there is still no specific release date, the game can be continuously improved to surpass any expectations. Right now, what all interested parties can do is to wait for clues dropped by Spider.
