'Horizon: Zero Dawn' World Map Leaks, Previews Three Main Regions

Horizon Zero Dawn is an upcoming open world adventure game for gaming console platform. Although the game's developers don't seem to give too much information about the game, it seems that Horizon Zero Dawn has a lot to offer. Recently, a picture broke out which shows the game's possible map.

The map shows three main regions, the snowy Mother's Heart, the forested Meridian and the Sunfall. Each area looks like it has some smaller villages or point of interest with a lot of lands in between, which only means there is a lot of robot animals to be hunted.

The game's plot revolves around the character name "Aloy," which was voiced by Ashly Burch. Aloy is a hunter and archer who lives in a world overrun by different robot creatures. With the urge to explore the whole world, Aloy sets out to discover the dangers that kept her hiding for a really long time.

Aloy uses a wide range of equipment, mostly ranged melee weapons and stealth tactics, to fight against the mechanized creatures that when defeated, leaves loots that can be used for resources. A skill tree is used for Aloy's abilities. Horizon Zero Dawn offers an open-world environment for players to explore. Like what was seen on the map, that seems to have different cities, villages, and tribes that hold different quests and stories.

Development of the game began in the year 2011. The director of the game, Mathijs de Jonge, said that the game was "the riskiest" idea from those that were pitched. The concept of the game Horizon Zero Dawn explores the contrast between the beauty and danger of the world. The publisher of Horizon Zero Dawn, Guerrilla Games, emphasizes the trial and error as the main basis when playing the game, choosing not to have any tutorial. The game engine, Decima, was previously used for the game Killzone Shadow Fall and was the foundation for Horizon Zero Dawn game.
