FX's new superhero flick, "Legion" has already debuted, but has only earned less than two million viewers on its first telecast. The show's pilot has however gained positive results, and instant fans believe that the numbers will soon increase. Meanwhile, "Legion" episode 2 was revealed to show David rediscovering his mutant self.
David Haller (Dan Stevens) serves as the main character of "Legion," and apparently, he has something special in him. From the first episode of the show, fans saw how powerful Haller can be when he incidentally switched bodies with Sydney "Syd" Barrett. In the upcoming second episode, it was revealed that Haller will get a peek into his past, and will rediscover his true identity, and that is being a mutant.
From the trailer of "Legion" episode 2, Melanie Bird (Jean Smart) will be seen telling Haller that he does not have Schizophrenia. She then helps him realize that the strange things he is experiencing are not brought about by a mental illness, but rather a manifestation of his natural powers.
Haller then learns that he is a powerful telepath, reason for him to create the strange incident in episode 1. He also learns about the war going on between his rescuers and the government agency that has been questioning him about his abilities. Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris) then tells Haller about why they rescued him as he is expected to help the team win their war.
The "Legion" creator, Noah Hawley also dropped exciting teasers about the series after episode 1 was aired on Wednesday, Feb. 9. He reveals that Melanie will help Haller understand his true self and powers. However, as Melanie starts to do so, strange things will also commence and will soon realize how powerful Haller is, and how threatening his abilities can become.
Before "Legion" started, it was revealed that Haller serves to be an ancestor of "X-Men's" Professor Charles Xavier. It is known that have it that he is the son that the famous telepath shares with Moira MacTaggert. Haller will soon be dubbed as Legion once he rediscovers his history and his powers.
Meanwhile, "Legion" chapter 1 debuted just last week, and records reveal that the pilot episode gained 1.6 million viewers with 0.8 million coming from the 18-49 demographic. While the late night series started off so modestly, fans are expecting to see an increase in numbers as the show sports flawless effects and videography according to reviews.It has also easily become the most excited TV superhero series to watch. "Legion" airs every Wednesday at 10 p.m. on FX.
