More Doomfist Hints Found In Overwatch PTR

The Chinese New Year event for Overwatch is up, and that means that people can get excited over another thing coming to the game - the release of a new hero called Doomfist. Though Blizzard has yet to announce the character officially, more hints have been found in the PTR that signal his arrival.

Music And Menus

A lot of people are aware of the 3D model of the payload in Numbani that seems to have a broken glass indicating that the Dommfist's gauntlet had been stolen. Youtuber Arekkz, however, was able to point out a few more things connected to Doomfist on the PTR.

For one, the music at the start menu seems to have changed from the usual theme that Overwatch players have been greeted with. Counted that the theme was also changed for Year of the Rooster, but now there seems to be a darker and more looming track, and data miners have confirmed that this is Doomfist's theme.

The last thing that was noticed was the changes in the Hero Gallery menu. The icons in the menu seem to have been shifted to have an extra slot open, hinting at an upcoming character to fill in the slot. With all the news of Doomfist coming out, there's no way that Blizzard has a totally different character reveal in mind other than Doomfist.

Terry Crews: Doomfist

Another figure that has been central to the Doomfist rumor is "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" actor Terry Crews. Crews has been very vocal about his eagerness to voice Doomfist online, and he has even made a mock audition for the character, saying a bunch of possible catchphrases like, "I'm Doomfist. Get ready to hurt!"

His involvement hasn't been confirmed by Blizzard yet, but with all the buzz floating around, and several fans backing him up, it may just be a matter of time before the Overwatch devs officially announce Crews' involvement with the game.

Overwatch is currently going through some more balance changes, but it's currently playable for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
