After Injustice: Gods Among Us sickeningly good gameplay and experience, there was no reason to think there wouldn't be a sequel. Currently with 19 confirmed characters including the recent reveal of Black Canary and Swamp Thing, NetherRealm Studios' sequel Injustice 2 is expected to be like the first one but of course, better. Here's a look at all the characters and their gameplay.
Characters And Gameplay In Injustice 2
The current roster revealed by NetherRealm in Injustice 2 includes 19 confirmed characters but we're only given a peak at the gameplay for some of them. Fans are still eagerly awaiting the reveal of the rest of the characters and their gameplay. With Swamp Thing being the latest addition to the characters, he joined Black Canary, Robin, Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, Blue Beetle, and Deadshot.
Fans are still waiting for the gameplay trailers of the rest of the confirmed characters, mainly Brainiac, Poison Ivy, Bane, Batman, Flash, Superman, Supergirl, Gorilla Grodd, Aquaman and Atrocitus. Developer NetherRealms promised that Injustice 2 will have the largest DC roster ever the likes of which DC fans will deeply appreciate. Since they said to be including obscure characters aside from the major fan favorites, this will tickle their taste buds for sure.
The Straightforwardly Good Gameplay Of Injustice 2
There are some improvements to note in Injustice 2 but you can be quite disappointed if you're expecting an overhaul in terms of gameplay. It's been confirmed that the improvements include the ability to block environmental attacks. Another defensive upgrade added is the ability to do a forward evasive roll for one-meter segment. This new change will be effective against players who like to zone or keep their distance. The walking speed was also increased to make the game faster.
Talks of the new gear system are getting fans hyped for Injustice 2. It is the most anticipated and well-received improvement. Every match will now reward you gear, which you can customize your character, and they come with stat boosts.
Injustice 2 will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May this year.
