For Honor Factions Guide: Can You Play Heroes From Other Factions?

Ubisoft's brand new online multiplayer game For Honor features a faction system where players will be given freedom to choose which side they wanted to join. Based on the report, For Honor has three factions namely Knights, Samurais and Vikings. However, some might be confused on which of these three should one choose. Thankfully, here is a simple guide in order to clear out the confusion.

According to the report from The BitBag, the factions present in For Honor serve as requirements for guilds that need members to join the fight. These factions do not have an actual leader. However, they can openly request their members to assist in either defending or attacking territories. Choosing a particular faction won't restrict players from the heroes of the other faction. It is suggested to pick the most preferred one since it barely matters.

Based on the footage from For Honor open beta, players can definitely play the heroes from other present factions. For instance, Samurai players can play as a Raider or Warden based on their own preference. However, players are required to gather For Honor's in-game currency called Metal in order to unlock these characters

For beginners of the game, the Samurai's Kensei and Knight's Warden are the best starting heroes to play. This is because both Warden and Kensei possess straightforward movesets and a pool of flexible Feat for the Domination Mode.

On the other hand, aside from defending the territories, factions that hold the largest territory by the end of the each Season will receive rewards. As reported, each of the members of the winning faction will be given a unique reward that cannot be acquired from anywhere. Though it was mentioned earlier that these factions barely matters, choosing one which has a strong pool of active players is an advantage especially if the unique Season-ender reward is at stake. For Honor is now available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
