Watch Dogs 2 Ending Has Been Oddly Patched; Possible Watch Dog 3 Settings?

Ubisoft's Watch Dogs 2 got a whooping new 10GB patch update providing major bug fixes, new clothing, system tweaks and primes the game for additional downloadable expansions. Although the contents are quite normal considering that games usually get major patch updates months following its launch, this time around, the update also oddly patched the ending of the game - which is peculiarly rare. Could the changes highlight the possible settings for Watch Dogs 3?

Watch Dogs 2: Ending Getting Patched

[Spoiler Alert] The ending of Watch Dogs 2 pretty much remained the same except for a newly added clip. As usual, protagonist Marcus Holloway and his crew beat the main antagonist of the game and broadcast the 'rightful information' to the public except for this time around. Before the player regains control of the game, a new audio conversation is slipped to which the details are shown down below.

As captured by a Frenzy (video shown below), the patch update brought about a new audio clip between two men. Here's the entirety of their conversation:

Man 1: How much of this is hyperbole? Has it really gone global? Man 2: There are new Dedsec cells popping up everywhere. The Middle East, South America, Europe. And not just them. We can't even keep up with all the new hacktivist groups.

Man 1: Alright. Make the call, Man 2: You Sure? Man 1: Do it.

What's interesting about the small clip is that, above the "audio conversation," an apparent coordinate was given that when punched into the Google Maps, will lead to the Brixton area in London. Many are suggesting that the next installment [Watch Dogs 3] could very well have its core setting in London. And since the planned DLC for the Watch Dogs 2 is set to take place in San Francisco, it further backed the theory that this coordinate may indeed point out to the next setting of the possible installment of the franchise.

Kotaku asked the production team of Watch Dogs 2 and the latter replied saying: "The production team wanted to include a little something extra at the end of the campaign to expand the Watch Dogs lore and hint at the potential future of DedSec." Many fans are still baffled whether or not the audio file may have some encrypted message behind it. As for the identity of the two men, they may still remain in the realm of the unknown until Ubisoft reveals the upcoming updates of the franchise.
