Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Image, Specs, Release Date Leak (Rumor)

An image was just posted on a Chinese website that is supposedly the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 next to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The site also posted rumored specs of the phablet, and if true, it's going to be a very impressive smartphone.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 3 at IFA, which will be held Sept. 6 - 11 in Berlin. Samsung has announced both the original Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2 at the past two conferences.

The site claims that Samsung will be making the Galaxy Note 3 display more on par with its just-released Galaxy Mega series. The Galaxy Note 3 will reportedly feature a 5.99-inch full HD 1080p display, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 2.0 GHz Exynos 5410 Cortex A15 octa-core processor with a 1.7GHz Cortex A7 processor, 16, 32, and 64 GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM.

Previous rumors reported that Samsung was going to move from its usual cheap plastic cases to an aluminum case on the Galaxy Note 3, as the company saw how well the HTC One was received with its aluminum unibody design. Samsung reportedly felt pressure from its rival to step up its game in the Android world, and the Galaxy Note 3 was supposedly going to be the first smartphone to show off Samsung's new direction. The image in this photo appears to use the same plastic case found on the Galaxy Note 2. As with all leaked pictures and specs of highly anticipated smartphones, we must take this with a huge grain of salt.
