One the major highlights for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is its beautifully crafted soundtrack. In line with this, while seemingly absent, Zelda's Lullaby is actually hidden somewhere in the game. Meanwhile, the 3DS gets two stunning themes around the upcoming said Nintendo title.
Zelda's Lullaby Hidden in the Game
The Zelda series have always found a way to sneak in some references into their games from time to time. Although it is not game changing, it is a pleasant surprise to discover some form of iconic lore or soundtrack throughout the various installments. Similarly, it seems like the upcoming title might have its own fair share of secrets too as YouTuber tmo. has posted a video sharing his discovery regarding Zelda's theme.
The one-minute clip begins with Link riding on a horse and randomly traversing through the grassy plains. There is nothing to note in the gameplay and the background music seems quite jittery and upbeat, just like general open world themes. However, the YouTuber speeds up the same scene during the second half of the clip.
Here, fans can easily make out Zelda's Lullaby as the overworld theme if they listen closely. Tmo. suggested that this is merely a broken down version of Zelda's Lullaby similar to the Temple of Time. With this in mind, there might be variants and broken down versions of other original Zelda soundtracks scattered around the map.
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" 3DS Themes
That aside, My Nintendo News (blog) reports that the 3DS is getting two themes around the latest installment. The first theme is with Link overlooking the plains of Hyrule with the broken castle and a volcano in the distance. Meanwhile, the second one features Zelda, Link and Bokoblin while the first trailer's theme is playing the menu music.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that both themes have their own scrolling sound effect as well. For now, the said themes are only exclusive to the Japanese market. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will officially launch on Mar. 3 for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
