Blizzard is making a little change to its Warcraft-themed card game, Hearthstone, coming this year. For the game Hearthstone, this year will see three full-size sets, which will be added to the game. However, Blizzard will take away almost half of the cards from the competitive standard format along with the fan favorite Ragnaros the Firelord, and Sylvanas, this is how Blizzard's Hearthstone will welcome its players for the Year of the Mammoth.
For almost a year ago, Blizzard believed that their upcoming content additions would fail to match with the existing cards that dominate the meta. Blizzard made a fateful decision to split the main gameplay into two game modes. The Standard, original cards plus the last year expansions, and wild will include all the printed cards. The first addition in Hearthstone was last year's Whispers Of The Old Gods that added almost 130 different cards to every format while phasing out the 163 Standard. Veteran players of Hearthstone will surely mourn for these changes while the new and casual players will surely enjoy for never having to face the "Hall of Fame" legendary cards.
On a lighter note, if this year's expansions will be as large as their previous 130 predecessors, players will be able to see twice as many cards to be added in the game for the Year Of The Mammoth. Blizzard is going to augment its new expansions of the game. Blizzard is planning to revive the game's hardcore heroic tavern brawl for the all card format and work with the third parties to host Hearthstones's wild tournaments.
