See Through Google Glass, Without The Glasses (Video)

We just reported that Google Glass isn't going to reach consumers' eyes as early as anticipated, but we can still experience Google Glass as seen through the eyes of a member in the Google Glass Explorer Program.

Like many people, I'm sure you'd love to try out Google Glass and see what the experience is like. Dan McLaughlin, a Google Glass user, has taken the time to create a video showing what it's like to use Google Glass. It gives anyone a great look into what the whole Google Glass experience will be like when Google makes Glass available to consumers.

Thanks to Dan McLaughlin and his new videos, we also have something to tide us over while we wait for Google to actually launch Glass. The video was made using a screencast app that displays what he is seeing through Glass and displays it on an Android smartphone. It's really the first real look that average people have gotten to see how Glass actually works.

The video shows you a very in-depth look at the current incarnation of Glass. The launcher of Google Glass is very simple. When you say the phrase "Ok glass," it automatically brings up the launcher, which displays common phrases like "take a picture," "record a video," "get directions," "send a message to" and more. You'll get to see how voice commands and taps drive Google Glass. McLaughlin shows us how Glass will take pictures and record video with a voice command. He asks Google "what time is it in Paris?" and a Google Voice search icon appears and then displays the correct time while also giving him an audio response. Another example has McLaughlin asking what the price of salt is in Zimbabwe.

He then takes us through how the email application in Google Glass works. I don't want to spoil all the fun, but I can guarantee that after watching this video you're probably going to want Google Glass! Check out the videos below.
