Huawei has already confirmed that the Honor V9 smartphone will be unveiled on February 21. However, the device that will be showcased at the event has the ChinaMobile brand on its rear, indicating that it will only be released in China. Nevertheless, recent reports suggest that the Huawei V9 will also come to the US. The only thing to note is that the phone may come with a different name outside China.
Huawei Honor V9 US Availability
According to Android Authority, a report from a Russian site called hi-tech.mail.ru said that the Honor V9 will be released in the US as the Honor 8 Pro. So far, only the China-unveiling of the V9 has been confirmed, but if the new report is to be believed, fans might see the phone at the MWC event later this month. It was said that Huawei will confirm the Honor 8 Pro and its US availability at the said Barcelona tech show, but according to the rumor, the phone could be made available March of this year.
Huawei Honor V9 Specs
The Honor V9 or 8 Pro is one of Huawei's most premium spec'd smartphones. As per GSM Arena, the phone boasts of its rear dual-cam setup that's composed of a 12MP and a 2 MP camera and it also boasts of its sufficient memory. Do note that the V9 is said to have a 6 GB maximum RAM and 128 GB maximum internal storage. You can also opt for the lower variant but all units are equipped with a massive 3900 mAh battery. There's also a microSD slot for storage expansion.
Size-wise, the Honor V9 has a 5.7 inch display with a competitive resolution of 515 pixels per inch density. Additional specs of the Huawei smartphone includes its 8 MP front camera and octa-core Kirin 960 processor. It also has a fingerprint sensor located at the back. As for the phone's OS, reports say that the Honor V9 will run Android Nougat from the box.
