Pokemon GO developer Niantic has finally added substantial content in the game. One such addition is the Metal Coat which can be used to evolve certain Pokemon types.
Metal Coat Farming And RNG
Many Pokemon GO players will surely try their best to get as many Metal Coats as they can. This is understandable since this item is still new and rare in the game. For now the only way to get them is by way of Pokestops, according to gamerant.
Unfortunately, Pokemon GO players have no way of knowing if they can get the Metal Coat until they spin the wheel. The usual yields are potions or even Pokemon eggs but a metal coat will turn up sooner or later. The key to obtaining them boils down to patience, visiting as many Pokestops as possible and of course, RNG.
Evolving Pokemon With Metal Coat
Not many Pokemon can evolve with the Metal Coat. There are only two notable ones that come to mind namely, Onix (Steelix) and Scyther (Scizor). Obtaining a Metal Coat will take time but that's okay since trainers will also need to look for the two. Onix and Scyther are not common in the game even though they are part of the first generation. Niantic's release of the Gen 2 types will likely make them more difficult to find and catch.
Pokemon GO Players - Busy Again
Finding Metal Coats and Pokemon to evolve them with is just one of the many activities in the game. Trainers are also searching and collecting evolution stones which are also useD for evolving a number of Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon. There is also the task of collecting 80 new Pokemon in the game. These new contents and quests will surely keep Pokemon GO players busy in the coming months. Even those who left are expected to come back and play the game again.
