It is pretty obvious that Nintendo wasn't that successful with its "Super Mario Run" comeback game app. There were a lot of problems that plagued the game. Some of these problems were its monetization structure, the required price to pay in order to progress through the game, and the very fast runtime.
Nintendo Doing Its Best To Sell Super Mario Run
However, the game was still profitable in one way or another. It just wasn't in the level of the Pokemon Go. According to Forbes, the game has been downloaded 78 million times.
Unfortunately, only 5% of the users paid an expensive price of $10 to upgrade Super Mario Run game to the full version. Now, it introduces the Easy Mode and the Golden Goombas.
In Easy Mode, players get infinite bubbles or lives without the timer. It just makes the game very easy, allowing not-so-skilled players to enjoy the game without any hassle at all.
However, players don't get any coin credits with that mode. Then there is the Golden Goombas that runs until Feb. 20. It's all about stomping the Golden Goombas scattered throughout the map. Each stomp gives the player 30 coins.
Knowing More About Super Mario Friendly Run
According to Nintendo Wire, a new Super Mario Run Friendly Run event is also up for all gamers to enjoy. This event will last until March 2. In this event, players will get to have Rally Tickets in the easiest way possible.
Nintendo sure knows how to keep its risky game up and going. The Friendly Run will also foster in a sense of community and camaraderie between all of the "Super Mario Run" players throughout the world.
It would be safe to expect that players who take part in the Super Mario event will be in for a lot of surprising features, bonuses and rewards. It surely is a good strategy for Nintendo to further try marketing its not-so-successful mobile game to other people.
