Windows phones have never become as widely-embraced as the Android and iOS phones are. With that, Microsoft is continuously expected to up their game in the mobile phone world. With the Lumia line slowly heading towards extinction, it's hard to figure out what the company's next plans are. As of now, reports suggest that AT&T has already removed Windows phones from its website.
AT&T Windows Phones' Listings
As per Neowin, all Windows phones have already been removed from AT&T's website. The listing for a new Lumia 950 was already deleted a few weeks ago while only the like-new models of the Lumia 640 and Lumia 950 have been spotted a few days ago. The source also says that searching for the keyword Lumia on the carrier's site will only take you to the support page. AT&T was also reached out to regarding this topic but there's no update yet.
Where To Buy Windows Phones In 2017
As per ONMSFT, AT&T has removed the Windows phones from its website but it doesn't mean that you cannot get your Windows mobile elsewhere. Third-party sellers still exist and most importantly, direct seller Microsoft is still listing several of its phones online. In fact, the company is still listing the AT&T Lumia 950 for $300 and the Verizon Lumia 735 for $129.
The HP Elite x3 3 in1 is now on sale from $799 to $599. That's a good $200 off for a Windows phone with a bundled Desk Dock. The unlocked Lumia 950 and 950 XL are also available for $399 and $499 respectively. You can also get the unlocked IDOL 4S for $470.
For midrange Windows mobile, know that the Lumia 550 is now listed at the Microsoft Store for $139. The Acer Liquid M330 is listed for $99 while the BLU Win HD LTE is listed for $149. The Lumia 650 is also listed on the store for $199 but it's currently out of stock.
