Recently, Tumblr launched for Windows Phone 8 but users have been complaining that the application is affected by some bugs and issues, which makes it unusable on certain devices. Now the company has released an update to address the issues raised by users.
Tumblr for Windows Phone allows you to post anything to the micro blogging platform while on the go. The app was initially released on April 23 and the latest version 1.0.0.6 released on April 30.
With Tumblr installed on your Windows Phone mobile device, you can easily share photos, gifs, video, quotes, chats, links and text. Find and follow the things you love. Jump between your dashboard and Explore with just one swipe. Display the latest images from your dashboard on your lock screen and live tile. GIFs play as you scroll.
When you log in to Tumblr, you'll be taken to your dashboard. Your dashboard is identical in function to web browsers. You'll be able to find the latest posts from everyone you follow.
The latest update pushed on Windows Phone Store seems to have addressed most of the issues discovered by users. However, developers have yet to release an official changelog for the update, as such there may be no new features introduced with the update.
According to the latest reviews on Windows Phone Store, the update seems to improve the application's stability and solves some crash-related bugs experienced by Windows Phone owners.
"Finally :-) It's fantastic to have a native Tumblr client for Windows Phone. I can't yet see how I manage all 4 of my Tumblr sites via this app, but I'm sure it's there somewhere," per a user's statement.
However, some users are still facing issues even after updating.
"Really excited to have an app, but there are a few problems. Crashed my phone after I scrolled down the dash so far (Lumia 820). Has a tendency for scrolling so far up the dash after reblogging something. Can't view messages or followers - as far as I can see, at least," complained a user.
Tumblr 1.0.0.6 is available as a free download via Windows Phone Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8 and up.
