Games, if you're looking to snap up the much-awaited gaming console, the PlayStation 4 (PS4), we have some good news. You may be one of the first to lay hands on the upcoming gaming console and get a hands-on feel of the PS4 at the GameStop Expo in August this year.
According to GameStop executive vice president Michael Hogan, Sony is planning to launch the PS4 globally in 2013 but an exact launch date of the console is not known.
"We know that Sony will introduce the PlayStation 4 globally in 2013, but we are still waiting to see what Microsoft's final plans are," said Hogan.
According to a latest report, the U.S. retailer will exhibit the console at its event on August 28 in Las Vegas, with the promise of an in-depth look at the console and its launch line-up.
"Be one of the first ever to play Sony's PlayStation 4 - before it's released!" per the official GameStop Expo website.
Sony announced the PS4 in February this year along with quite a few games coming to the console, but the actual PS4 console remains a mystery. However, Sony is expected to give more details of its next-generation gaming console at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, more commonly known as E3.
Even though the Japanese company is expected to reveal more information on the gaming console gamers may not get a chance to play the new system. So the GameStop Expo could be one of the first chances the general masses will have to lay hands on the PS4.
GameStop Expo 2013 will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. (with VIPs allowed in at 10:00 a.m.) and closes at 6:00 p.m. GameStop PowerUp Rewards members can purchase general admission tickets for $35.
