'Mission Impossible 6' Scene Revealed: Film Director Reveals A Different Side Of Ethan Hunt

Christopher McQuarrie has allotted some facts about the opening act of Mission Impossible 6 and exposed that the sixth installment of the hit movie franchise will explore an expressive journey.

Tom Cruise will have reappeared for his role as special agent Ethan Hunt, who assumes an action-laced mission, alongside Rebecca Ferguson, who will also repeat her role as Ilsa from Rogue Nation in the sixth title sequel.

Upcoming Sequel May Not Start In An Action-Thrilled Scene

The director, in a discussion with Empire Magazine, opens up that unlike previous chapters, the upcoming movie will not open with an action scene. "It starts in a very eccentric way. It does not start with action. That was the hardest tune of this movie," McQuarrie said of the film's opening scene.

The American screenwriter added, "I've seen five of these movies and I don't know who Ethan Hunt is. One movie sort of dealt with his personal life; the other movies are about people speculating what's really going on in Ethan's head. I want to know who Ethan is in this movie, I want an emotional journey for this character, and Tom really embraced it."

The director teases a different style and shared it, "I don't want to twine a bunch of action scenes, I want to actually deal with character. So, I put Ethan in a complicated moral dilemma, and I'm trying to find ways to connect them - and then, ironically, the way to connect them still through giant action scenes."

Ethan Hunt Found Himself In A Great Romantic Country

The director is now in London preparing the currently-untitled Mission: Impossible 6 sequel. Revealing the filming date, he told the magazine, "It's going to be great! We start shooting on April 10 in Paris. It will be a different Ethan Hunt, I promise you that."Alongside Cruise and Ferguson, McQuarrie teased some old cast returning from the franchise - "including people you would not expect to be back." Mission: Impossible 6 is set for release on July 27, 2018.
