HMD Global, the Finnish manufacturer with exclusive rights to market phones under the storied Nokia brand, is scheduled to announce four handsets at Mobile World Congress later this month, according to a source briefed on the company's plans. Once the leader of the mobile phone industry, Nokia is making a comeback into the market it once ruled. The latest hint at this attempt is a leak of details with the specs of the Nokia 3, one of the company's upcoming devices. Nokia is believed to announce its latest line of smartphones on Feb. 26 at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. But, weeks before the official launch, the alleged specs of the Nokia's best midrange phone was revealed via a leak.
Nokia 3 Design, Specs And Features
Nokia 3 Android Smartphone is not announced yet. It is said to run on the Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU. The phone comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which is expandable. The Nokia 3 is a 5.2 inches HD, 720 x 1280 pixels IPS display with a pixel density of 282 ppm. For the cameras, the phone is said to sport a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front snapper for selfies. It'll come with microUSB port for data syncing and charging. Also, there is a notification LED present on the Nokia 3 as well, along with a magnetic field sensor (compass), ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and accelerometer sensor for extra features. It is a dual SIM smartphone with support for 4G LTE, USB OTG, FM Radio, Bluetooth, and GPS too. The Nokia 3 is set to run on Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow).
Nokia 3 Price And Release Date
The specs for the Nokia 3 is tipped to come with a price tag of $149. It will be unveiled on February 26 at MWC 2017. It has a target date on March-April in major tech markets.
