As the final episode of “The Vampire Diaries” is quickly approaching, it is no surprise that spoilers are being thrown here and there. The latest hints for the finale came directly from the series’ executive producer, Julie Plec. She revealed that the finale will be something to look forward to with various characters coming back and with the story being related to “The Originals” somehow.
Julie Plec went on a question and answer spree on Twitter recently and went on to give some teasers for the up and coming “The Vampire Diaries” series finale. Fans have particularly been asking about Elena, Katherine, and many more of the characters that Nina Dobrev portrayed and Plec has finally let out some promising details about it. She confirmed that Elena Gilbert will be returning as seen in the promotional teaser they released and that fans will also be seeing the devious Katherine.
Fans have also asked about the love line between Caroline Forbes and Klaus, hoping that the Klaroline tandem will be reunited just for the finale. Plec refused to say anything about it but assured fans with a simple reply that fans will sort of see the reunion between the two characters. She further revealed that the finale of “The Vampire Diaries” will have a tiny relation to the story of “The Originals” series.
“The Originals” is a spinoff of the “The Vampire Diaries” and it stars the original vampires, the Mikaelson siblings, which mainly revolves around Klaus. Though Caroline has never made an appearance in the spinoff series, she had been mentioned. Other “The Vampire Diaries” characters such as Stefan Salvatore has even made a guest appearance during a crossover between the two supernatural series.
“The Vampire Diaries” is gearing up for its series finale after running for full eight seasons. The last episode, titled “I Was Feeling Epic” will be aired on March 10 on The CW. A special will also be aired on the same day, which has been titled “Forever Yours”.
