The new episode of "Scandal" season 6 will see Vanessa (Jessalyn Gilsig) and Olivia (Kerry Washington) getting in a serious confrontation. Meanwhile, Cyrus is still locked up in prison, but he learns about Tom's innocence on Frankie's death, which he plans to use to prove his own.
In the upcoming episode of "Scandal" season 6 titled "They All Bow Down," Vanessa and Liv will go against each other, and Jake has something to do with it. In the promo for the said episode, Vanessa looks like she already had enough of Liv's supposed manipulation, which pushes her to finally fire back at the latter. Reports also reveal Vanessa's disappointment at the fact that her husband lost to Cyrus.
Vanessa's irritation then appears to grow into a rage as she intentionally embarrasses Jake in front of many people which Liv tries to stop. This sparked the clash between Vanessa and Liv. This is a confrontation though that avid fans already expected to happen. It is known to fans that Liv has been Jake's romantic interest which perhaps adds up to the disgust that Vanessa feels towards Liv. Apart from their showdown, though, the trailer has not teased how the episode goes on with them.
Meanwhile, Cyrus finds it difficult to prove his innocence until he confirms that Tom did not kill Frankie. Spoilers have it that Cyrus will be freed as he uses the innocence of Tom to his advantage. Just recently, Jeff Perry, who plays Cyrus, shared details about his character's imprisonment. He said that Cyrus is placed in a desperate situation which he finds hard to survive. Perry also said that Cyrus will start looking for ways to get out of prison, but has doubts the chance that he will be freed. Apart from these details, the veteran actor has not teased the new episode in-depth but promises an exciting twist of events in the coming chapters.
"Scandal" season 6, episode 5 airs on Thursday, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
