"Attack on Titan" season 2 will air this April and the original manga gives fans so much idea on the upcoming season -- new Titans, Eren's half brother Zeke, the rebellion. However, the production gave fans one more thing to anticipate. The second season will include an all original arc written by "Attack on Titan creator, Hajime Isayama.

In a recent interview, "Attack on Titan" season 2 chief director Araki Tetsuro alongside director Koizuka Masashi dropped some hints on the new series, including Isayama's involvement in the production. Tetsuro said Isayama wrote a brand-new content that wasn't found in the manga.

Tetsuro said that Isayama is involved in the production even more than before. "Though it was already like this last season, this time there is a legitimate feeling of, "We're creating this together," he said in an article in Newtype Magazine according to Comicbook. "There are portions he wasn't able to include in the manga that he permitted us to incorporate into the anime adaptation." He added there are also new elements that would be incorporated on the new season.
