Honor V9 vs LG G6: Which Smartphone Offers The Best Deal This Year?

These days, smartphones are one of the most highly fancied pieces of technology we own. They're important for our daily living, however, choosing the perfect phone for you is a tricky task. With MWC 2017 just around the corner, this year looks set to be even bigger. Huawei had a busy day today because the company has officially announced a new beast of a smartphone, the Honor V9. Meanwhile, LG's upcoming flagship killer launch date is confirmed for February 26, as the company's MWC 2017 press conference is scheduled at noon that day in Barcelona. Honor V9 features dual-cam set up, as LG already confirmed G6 will get one too.

Huawei Honor V9

Around the back, you'll find a fingerprint sensor sitting below the V9's dual-camera setup. It sports two 12MP camera sensors with a f/2.2 aperture that should be perfect for capturing fancy bokeh effects. Honor V9 is also running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, with Huawei's EMUI 5 on top. The Honor V9 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and is powered by the same octa-core Kirin 960 processor that's running the Mate 9. Equipped with a hefty 4 or 6GB of RAM and comes with either 64 or 128GB of onboard storage, and under the hood is a non-removable 4,000mAh battery. The Honor V9 will be available on February 28 in Aurora Blue, Platinum Gold, and Flame Red color options.

LG G6

LG has already started teasing elements of its upcoming smartphone, the LG G6. In a press release, LG confirmed that on the rear of the phone, there will be two impressive 13MP sensors, one equipped for standard shots, the other for wide-angle images. This is a pretty big upgrade considering LG's previous dual camera setups have used only a single high-resolution camera for standard shots. LG G6 will come with an inferior camera for those spectacular wide-angle images. It is set to feature a 5.6-inch 4K display. Powered by Snapdragon Qualcomm Octa-core 3.0 GHz processor and the latest Android nougat 7.0, the LG G6 is also expected to have 64 or 128GB internal memory expandable to more than 128 GB. Under the hood is 4200 mAh Battery life.
