After a private debut last month, the 2017 Chicago Auto Show is now a huge opportunity for the public to see the 2018 Ford Mustang. Its front and rear styling have been massaged, giving it more premium and leaner look. There's a new grille, repositioned hood vents and upgraded aerodynamics. Full LED lighting is also available, for both low- and high-beams as well as the turn signals. This is the refreshed 2018 Ford Mustang, which was "unveiled" in full swing.
2018 Ford Mustang: Fresher And More Aggressive Face With Extra Power
Ford's designers give the Stang's front and rear a broad styling overhaul. The hood edge sits roughly an inch (2.54 centimeters) lower than before, which gives the pony car an aggressive appearance, and the vents on it communicate a sporty demeanor. The new LED headlights also look quite fresh and modern.
New bracket-shaped LED taillights to overshadow the view from the tail. The tweaks for the spoiler and bumper are more lowered, though. The more complex shape for the rear diffuser adds to the performance-oriented look, too.
Apart from design, Ford's made a lot of work under the hood, though no horsepower or torque figures have been released. Sadly, for rental-car companies, the entry-level V6 engine is dead; the company's 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo four now serves base duty, according to a source. Meanwhile, inside the 2018 Mustang's cabin has been refurbished with more premium materials, fresh patterns and new colors. Even the key fob has even been redesigned. Furthermore, there's an available 12-inch customizable digital instrument cluster.
2018 Ford Mustang: Verdict
Surprisingly for a modern and refresh design, there's a lot going on here, including heavily updated powertrains, more innovative and a refreshed interior. The materials and colors have been updated too, and even the key fob is new. In conclusion, the 2018 Ford mustang is more powerful with its new aggressive look.
