March is fast-approaching, and more free games will come with it for Xbox Live Gold members. Microsoft has recently made an announcement about the next lineup of free games which will be made available for download as early as next week.
For those who are owners of Xbox One, there will be a kick-off of Layers of Fear within the month. This game title is a psychological gothic horror game that is well-received by its critics. Layers of Fear will be available from March 1 to 31, as IGN reported.
At the later part of the month, the co-op monster hunting game Evolve will be available for free download from March 16 to April 15. Turtle Rock is the game's developer, and they are the team behind Left 4 Dead that added a good amount of credibility upon its launching. On the other hand, the title received mixed reviews and a just amount of controversy that resulted in its declining player base.
However, the game will be ending its ongoing development. Turtle Rock made an official end of its support for the title, but the studio has already announced that they are presently working on a new co-op FPS. The first title that is included on the schedule is Borderlands 2 for Xbox 360, according to Game Rant. It will be available for download from March 1 to 15. Although it is quite an older game, since it was released from four years ago, it is still one of the most adored games from the last generation of consoles.
It has an iconic cell-shaded visual style that has a comical tone, and addictive gameplay that made the franchise a favorite. There is a follow-up game that was teased by the developer Gearbox Software around a year ago, but not too many were heard about it anymore. There are a couple of free games that were released last month and are presently available for download until next week.
