Recently, we heard about LG's G6 phone that has amazing camera specs, specifically its 13 MP 125-degree dual rear camera. Now, as the 2017 Mobile World Congress event is fast approaching, the company is reported to also introduce a new smartphone, the LG X Power 2 that is said to be the ideal option for power-heavy multimedia user and gaming enthusiasts.
The Launch Date
The company has confirmed that the LG X Power 2 will have its official unveiling event at the 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC) and will eventually be available in March. According to Android Headlines, the device itself will be first released in Latin America and then to the key markets that include the United States, Asia, Europe and other regions.
The Battery
LG has claimed that the combination of the battery and display will make this smartphone the ideal option for power-heavy multimedia user and gaming enthusiasts. Because of the 4,500 mAh battery it is housing, it can be used for an entire weekend without recharging.
According to reports, it is capable of offering 15 hours of continuous video playback without charge, 14 hours with the use of GPS or 18 hours of web browsing. Apparently, the LG X Power 2 smartphone also has a high-speed charging technology that can charge from zero percent to 50 percent within one hour, making it only needing two hours to regain its full battery life.
The Design
According to Android Authority, the LG X Power 2 is said to be offered in four casing color variations; black titan, shiny titan, shiny gold and shiny blue. The smartphone also comes with a feature called Comfort View that reduces the amount of blue light emitted by the display. Essentially, reading e-book and other content can be a lot more enjoyable for its users, because blue light is known for causing eye fatigue and keeping you awake at night.
The Platform And Internal Memory
The LG X Power 2 is reported to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will be packed with an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. For its internal memory capacity, the smartphone will be offered in two RAM variations: a 1.5 GB RAM variant and a 2 GB RAM variant, both with only 16 GB of built in memory. Though 1.5 GB and 2 GB of RAM is quite underpowered, not to mention the 16 GB built in memory, the phone itself is reported to have a microSD card support of up to 2 TB.
The Camera
Apparently, the LG X Power 2 will have a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. In addition, it will also have two new features, namely the Auto Shot and Gesture Shot. For the Auto Shot feature, it will automatically snap a photo when a face is detected. As for the Gesture Shot feature, it will also automatically snap a shot but through hand signal.
The Price
Regarding as to what will be the retail price of the LG X Power 2, the company has kept it under wraps. However, the company did say that it will be announced at the time of availability.
