The 44-year-old US rapper, returns on stage to the annual event, four years after he was first featured in the music event. Well-known for singles - My Name Is and The Monster- Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, will share the beat with Muse and Kasabian.
Festival Republic Boss Melvin Benn said: "Eminem returning to Reading and Leeds is beyond exhilarating. His 2013 performance became a headline, it's incredible and I can't wait to have him back."

"His presence is added to our third and final headliner (joining Kasabian and Muse) we've publicized over 70 additional artists to this year's line-up - and it's looking sturdier than ever." Several other new acts were also announced on Friday (Feb.24), including Bear's Den, Black Lips, Grouplove, Haim, Halsey, Marshmello, Migos, Milky Chance, Phatogram, The Hunna and You Me at Six.
Those making in return to the festival also include Brit Award nominated Blossoms who took the top spot and became number one with their self-titled debut album in August. Pop performers are added to the pack like Becky Hill and Charli XCX will take to the stage while filth and hip-hop fans will have Brooklyn's Flatbush Zombies and Lethal Bizzle. Dillon Francis and Sam Divine will be among those settings on DJ through the bank holiday event which will also comfort our mood and swing with the drum 'n' bass veteran High Contrast.
More Acts Are Expected To Fill In
They will all join previously announced musicians like Major Lazer, Bastille, Two Door Cinema Club, Flume, Fatboy Slim, Wiley, At The Drive-In, Architects, Korn, While She Sleeps, Tory Lanez, Glass Animals, Circa Waves, Against The Current and Danny Brown.The American band 'Against The Current', fronted by Chrissy Costanza, have now been joined by another 16 actors that feature at least one woman, counting Haim and singer-songwriter Ray BLK.
However, men still dominate the festival, with 80 of the remaining 97 musicians being male solo artists or all-male groups.
