The latest episode of “Naruto Shippuden” was just aired and it continues the many joyful adventures surrounding the upcoming wedding of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuuga. With Kakashi giving everyone secret missions to find the perfect wedding gift, Shikamaru and Choji go out of their way to find something worthwhile for the couple. Gaara and Killer B are also looking for the right gifts to give, ones that are expected from leaders of the Hidden Leaf’s allies.
“Naruto Shippuden” episode 496 opens with Hidden Leaf’s Team Asuma, which consists of Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji, discussing what to give Hinata and Naruto for their wedding especially when the Hokage strictly directed them to present one. Ino reveals that she already had one in mind and Shikamaru is even more surprised to find out that Choji had already prepared his. Choji was already set on giving the new couple gift certificates from the most expensive restaurant in the village.
Pressured, Shikamaru decides on giving Naruto and Hinata a honeymoon getaway gift but he needed a woman to help him find the perfect place. Choji calls out Temari, who happened to visit Hidden Leaf Village at that time and Shikamaru convinces her to go out with him to scout hotels. Temari actually misunderstood Shikamaru’s offer and thought she was on a date with him while he was preparing the honeymoon for the two of them.
He eventually explains the misunderstanding to Temari and he gets away clearly scathed after putting Temari in an embarrassing position. Meanwhile, Ino is out to get the gift she had in mind but it turns out Sakura also had the same idea. The two female ninjas battled it out and got into a cooking contest to determine who gets to buy the gift. Choji as the judge decided that both dishes were delicious, which placed the two girls in a tie.
Ino and Sakura then decided that they should just share a gift. Meanwhile, as teased in the preview of “Naruto Shippuden” episode 497, Sand Village’s leader, Gaara and even Killer B are getting into the whole idea of romance with the latter even considering marriage. The two goes on a quest to find the perfect gift with the help of Team Guy’s Lee and Tenten.
