Gundam Versus has officially launched their closed beta this week and many people from across the globe have already signed up for it. In anticipation of the game's release, Bandai Namco releases more details about the game.
Gundam Versus Playable Units and Battle Modes
In the fourth "Gundam Festival," Bandai Namco officially shares the details on the game's playable units and battle modes. For the playable units, the closed beta will have a set of 38 units across 11 titles. Gematsu notes that although they can be played across all 3 phases of the beta, players can only play 20 units each phase.
The units will span Gundam series works like Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans and much more.
Confirmed units are Wing Gundam Zero, Gundam Exia, Gundam Barbatos, Gundam Throne Zwei, Full Armor Gundam, Gundam Kyrios, Sinanju and much more. For the final game, players can have access to more than 90 units across 17 works. With titles included in the closed beta.
Striker Unit can also be available for players to use. Players can choose a Striker Unit before entering battle and can be called upon for support. In the final game, each Striker Unit has its own level based on the players choice. In the closed beta, however, this one of kind extra won't be included.
Battle Modes are also available for players to enjoy. There's "Player Match," where players can set the conditions. In the closed beta, players are not able to do so. You can also create rooms to play with a maximum of 18 players participating.
"Ultimate Battle" aims to defeat enemy units. These enemies will appear while the player is upgrading their units. As players continue defeating foes, a special set of rules will be implemented. In the final game, players will also be able to select the difficulty mode. Other modes are also available in closed beta for all participating players to use.
Gundam Versus Closed Beta is Still Open
Players who are interested in joining may still be able to do so. Siliconera shares that applicants may still have until February 28 to register. Upon registering, players are notified of their application via email on Match 9.
Gundam Versus will is still in development but will be released for the PlayStation 4.
