NBA Trade Rumors: Golden State Warriors To Sign Jose Calderon? DeMarcus Cousins Debut In Pelicans Not Smooth?

The trade deadline has come and gone and the Golden State Warriors did not make a single move. And yet recent NBA trade rumors are saying that the Dubs are about to shuffle their roster. One source of this rumor is a Twitter post.

The Dubs Have Released Briante Weber

Early Sunday morning, Anthony Slater posted on his Twitter account that Jose Calderon is expected to sign up with the Warriors. But all will depend on whether Calderon will be able to work out his buyout deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. The tweet of Slater came right after he knew that Briante Weber was released by the Dubs on Saturday night fuelling these NBA trade rumors.

They Are Expected To Sign Up Jose Calderon

Steve Kerr announced that the team is releasing Weber at the press conference after they won over the Brooklyn Nets 112-95. The Warriors coach said that they will be adding another point guard for the vacant 15th spot on their roster. Kerr also admitted that they have already someone in place, but it is not yet finalized. Some NBA trade rumors say that someone is Calderon.

DeMarcus Cousins First Two Games With The Pelicans Did Not Take Off Smoothly

Meanwhile, some NBA trade rumors are saying that the DeMarcus Cousins and New Orleans Pelicans deal has not taken off smoothly. The Pelicans were routed by the Houston Rockets 129-99 Thursday night on Cousin's debut with the team. And then they dropped their next game to the Dallas Mavericks 96-83 Saturday night. The team now stands at 23-36.

The Pelicans Need To Act Quickly

With only 23 games left to go, the Pelicans need to really work harder if they want to get to the playoffs. Some NBA trade rumors are asking if the combination of the temperamental Cousins and the cool-headed Anthony Davis will make the team perform better. They say the team had to make the adjustments quickly. Time is getting short and they don't have enough room for errors.
