Despite originally being Japan-exclusive, Xseed Games will be localizing the downloadable content (DLC) for Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns. Meanwhile, the game will have a crossover with the famous plumber, Mario, and his friends.
Previous, Xseed Games had been very apprehensive when it came to localizing the farming game's DLC. They released a statement claiming that it would require a lot of work and would ultimately need to be released as paid content. If not, the studio would then not be able to bring over the DLC.
Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns DLC Localization Confirmed
Luckily enough, Siliconera reports that Xseed Games has had a change of heart due to the overwhelming feedback. They posted a message in their official localization blog thanking fans for being so supportive. There, they claimed that they are grateful for the fanbase's patience and support and that the team is already eager to translate the content.
However, they still cannot give a said release date nor price for the content. Even so, Xseed Games confirmed that the game will not be arriving anytime soon. Until then, they urged fans to enjoy the main game which will be releasing very soon.
In line with this, they also addressed some bug fixes from the Japanese version of the game. The studio has already managed to put the patch for the fix in the international version. With this in mind, fans will not need to worry about the said glitches.
Teaming Up With Mario and Friends
On a different note, GameSpot reports that the game is collaborating with Nintendo to release Mario-inspired costumes. Fans will be able to dress up their characters in the likeness of the plumber, Luigi, Peach, and Toad. It is also worth noting that each costume will have their own unique buffs.
Mario will grant a running speed boost while Luigi has a fishing boost. Meanwhile, Peach will help players grow closer with the other characters and Toad grants a stamina recharge boost. Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns will be arriving on Feb. 28 for the Nintendo 3DS.
