Deron Williams Set To Join Cavaliers, Former Warriors Andrew Bogut, Next In Line

The Cleveland Cavaliers are clicking on all cylinders right now but they are not yet finished with bolstering their lineup. Deron Williams has already cleared its waivers and he is bound to be the backup point guard the Cavs are looking for.

NBA All-Star Weekend is already finished, which means to say that all NBA teams right now are battling for position to be able to compete in this year's NBA Playoffs. There were some blockbuster trades that happened after the festivities. Demarcus Cousins being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans is one of the most shocking trades in NBA History. The move that was made didn’t only shook the two teams involved but the whole league as well. Demarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis are the only two players who average 20+ ppg, 10+ rbg, who are playing in one team.

Deron Williams And Andrew Bogut To Join Cavaliers

However, the defending champions have been making some interesting changes on their own. Cavaliers had some issues during the start of the year. It was widely considered as the worst month in LeBron James’ career and a change is a must. In a stunning turn of events, they were able to acquire a deadly shooter in Kyle Korver. But the Cavs aren’t stopping there as sources state that a former franchise player and multiple All-Star is about to join their team.

Deron Williams’ numbers might be declining but he is still considered a threat to the point guard position. When LeBron publicly voiced out about wanting to have another point guard, Cavs GM didn’t waste any time. While other teams were looking for a big name in the trade market, the Cavs went for a steady but savvy veteran. Now that Deron has cleared its waivers, it's just a matter of time before he plays in a Cavs uniform.

Also, the former Golden State Warriors and recently traded center of Dallas Mavericks, Andrew Bogut has set his sight to join the Cavaliers. Technically he is still with the 76ers but his buyout option was already submitted. If this will happen, the Cavaliers will have an upgrade in their front court and will have an edge against the Warriors.
