She may be fresh out of splitsville but Angelina Jolie is back on top, at least with her movie career. The Academy award-winning actress returns after almost two years of hiatus to star in two projects under Universal Pictures.
Her first project is about a World War II espionage drama entitled "The Spy Who Loved." This movie is based on Clare Mulley's 2013 book with the same title. Another project being brewed for the 41 year-old actress is another movie adaptation of a book. This is from Simon Sebag Montefiore's "Catherine the Great and Potemkin: The Imperial Love Affair". However, these are not the only two films that will keep Jolie busy this year.
‘When It Rains, It Pours’ For Angelina Jolie
Aside from these two projects, Angelina Jolie is also set to star in the much-anticipated sequel of Disney’s “Maleficent 2”where she will once again play the infamous witch role.
The Maleficent sequel is already under development. After almost a year since its showing last May, Jolie is expected to reprise the role of the good-hearted witch whose heart turned called after being tricked by the King, who happens to be Sleeping Beauty’s father.
However, Jolie is not putting her directorial career on the back seat. She is currently working on another war movie based on Alessandro Baricco's 2004 novel "Without Blood". She will also be the “producer” for Disney's kid movie, "The One and Only Ivan".
