X.ai hopes to convince business clients to pay subscription fees for automated appointments. The AI scheduling startup launches a subscription service for enterprises.
X.AI Scheduling Service For Businesses
Setting up business meetings can be time-consuming since before as evidenced by sending off a calendar invitation that often requires workers to send emails back and forth on figuring out the best time. According to Computerworld, a New York startup called x.ai comes to simplify that process with an AI bot aimed at serving businesses. The company provides a subscription-based service that gives users access to x.ai's assistant.
X.ai's robotic secretary can help schedule time with folks who work elsewhere and automatically set up meetings with people inside a company. The AI scheduling service for businesses is an extension of the company's existing service that is built for individuals.
Both scheduling assistants share the same core functionality. Users can copy x.ai's assistant on the thread in order to loop it into an email conversation. The assistant will help figure out the best time when everyone can meet, by analyzing an email to identify parameters for a meeting and then checking a user's calendar to find out what times work best.
Additional Benefits For Business Users
A few additional benefits have been added for business users. Without requiring any back and forth communication, the assistant can help people inside a company to automatically schedule time with one another. Companies will be able to use a custom domain name for the email address and customize the assistant's signature. A dashboard allows administrators to manage and track employee use of the service.
According to Venture Beat, the monthly subscription fee for businesses is $59 per active user. The fee is pretty high, comparing with other services. For instance, the most expensive subscription to Microsoft's Office 365 Enterprise costs $35 per user per month.
Right now, the service is only offered in English. In the future, x.ai might add other language support as well. Among the customers who already signed up for the business scheduling service are included the AI startup Assist and venture capital firm Work-Bench.
