Bell's Samsung Galaxy Note Getting Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update

Samsung Galaxy Note users in Canada got a taste of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on their phablets after carriers TELUS and Rogers began pushing out the software update. Now yet another Canadian carrier, Bell, has followed suit and is rolling out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for its variant of the Galaxy Note.

"The Samsung Galaxy Note carried by Canadian telcos Rogers and Bells are getting Jelly Bean upgrades as we speak, with the news now officially confirmed. After the update was made available to Telus users not long ago, it's time for Bell and Rogers Samsung Galaxy Note customers to get a good taste of that delicious Jelly Bean," reports Android Authority.

Samsung Canada also took to its Twitter account to confirm the update.

"GALAXY Note owners with @Bell_Mobility, @TELUS & @RogersBuzz get Jelly Bean via Samsung Kies starting today!" tweeted Samsung Mobile Canada.

While Samsung says that the Jelly Bean update will need to be installed using Samsung Kies, reports claim that OTA updates are available for Rogers and TELUS. However, Bell's update is likely to be only via Samsung Kies.

"The update is going out over Samsung's Kies program on all carriers, but it looks like OTA updates are occurring as well. Telus lists instructions for updating to Android 4.1.2 via the phone's update menu, as well as Kies. Forum posts on the Rogers site also say the update can be obtained through Kies or OTA. Bell is a bit murky still. The carrier's site hasn't been updated with information on the update yet," reports Android Police.

The software update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on the Canadian carriers is close on the heels of U.S. carrier AT&T pushing out the software update for its variant of the Galaxy Note.

The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note brings several new features and improvements users' way, like Page Buddy, Pop-up Play, new widgets, Google Now and more.

If you're on Bell, has your Galaxy Note started receiving the update yet?
