The people behind the ongoing DC shows on The CW have just revealed that they are planning another crossover. They said the new crossover will be bigger and better. Not only that, they will make sure that it will be a true four-way crossover between “The Flash”, “Supergirl”, “Arrow”, and “Legends of Tomorrow”.
Bigger And Better Four-Way Crossover With DC Superhero Shows
Fans can’t get over the recent crossover episodes, which was the Invasion arc featuring Supergirl, Green Arrow, The Flash, and stars from “Legends of Tomorrow.” Though it was received well, fans were a bit disappointed that it was more of a three-episodes special than what was announced. The Invasion arc started with “Supergirl” and fans who anticipated it was disappointed to find that it was introduced just before the first episode of the arc was about to end with the girl of steel having limited appearance than expected. In fact, The Flash, Green Arrow, and the Legends team had more parts in it that it looked more like a three-way crossover.
Writer and executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg has revealed that he is hopeful that Supergirl will have a bigger screen time in the next crossover they are preparing. He said that the DC shows being renewed early gave them time to plan out the script and schedules to make sure that a real four-way crossover happens. Kreisberg further explained that the actors’ availability is the hardest factor to consider because all four DC shows are still ongoing. Though they’re planning the crossover for the next season, they have still not confirmed it yet.
Musical Crossover For “The Flash” And “Supergirl”
Aside from the four-way crossover, a musical crossover between the two DC shows are good to go. The special musical will cover two episodes but just like the previous Invasion arc, it will start with the end parts of “Supergirl” and head on to “The Flash”. Kreisberg said the musical will mainly take place in “The Flash” and Kara, Winn, J’onn, and even Mon-El will be making guest appearances.
The musical though is not just any crossover because it also covers another story arc that will introduce another villain. Music Meister will be showing up as the antagonist. The episodes are expected to air on March 20 on “Supergirl” and March 21 on “The Flash”.
