Final Fantasy XV News: A King's Tale Is Now Available, Here's The Details

Square Enix has released another game for Final Fantasy XV. However, it is only exclusive for the players who purchased the game from GameStop. A King's Tale is like a prequel that will help the players understand the main game.

A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV Goes Live

Unfortunately, the new game for Final Fantasy XV is not for everyone. A King's Tale happened 30 years before the story of the main game. Players will be able to play as Noctis' father, King Regis. According to Heavy, the game will start with a scene wherein the king is telling a bedtime story to his son.

Just like what players are experiencing in Final Fantasy XV, A King's Tale will feature sword fights, magic, summons and companions, as per Push Square. In addition, some of the characters from the main game will appear to the new content.

A King's Tale is already available for players who are in Europe and those who are in North America might have to wait for a little longer to download the retro game. According to Twinfinite, both PS4 and Xbox One users can download the game for free if they have purchased it in GameStop.

Square Enix' Plans After Final Fantasy XV

The developer teased the players of Final Fantasy XV that the recent game is not the last of the series, as per UberGizmo. Hajime Tabata, director of the game, dropped hints during the 2017 GDC. He explained that if the latest game will not sell, then the whole company will shut down the franchise.

But Final Fantasy XV sold six million copies in just a span of one month. That is the reason why the players are thinking that there is more to come for the franchise. Well, if that is the case then Square Enix should make sure that the next installment is better.

A King's Tale will add another twist to Final Fantasy XV because of the flashback it will provide for the players. Hopefully, other players who did not avail their games in GameStop can still have access to the retro spinoff.
