The first ever expansion for Battlefield 1 has long been revealed by developer DICE. It's called They Shall Not Pass, which was first introduced to the game's CTE (commonly known as Community Test Server). It holds true that some players were uploading videos of it, so as to give others some sort of sneak peek. However, none of them were official. But not now, though. That's because the studio has finally unveiled its first trailer.
According to VG247, the video game company has just made known to the general public the first official footage of Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass DLC. Apart from that, its exact release date has also been confirmed. This is indeed a great news to all the fans out there who have waited long enough to hear its existence.
The said content for the game will be released firstly to gamers who own a Premium Pass. This is slated to arrive March 14. The forthcoming expansion features a new set of army -- the French, that is. Add to that is the addition of four new maps. These will be added particularly on the shooter game's Western Front: Verdun Heights, Fort Vaux, Rupture and Soissons.
The official trailer (embedded below) for the upcoming Battlefield 1 expansion was first unleashed on the game's official YouTube channel. Along with the aforementioned features are the arrival of brand new weapons and new operations. Moreover, players can expect a gigantic vehicle called the steel Behemoth. And to top its arrival is no other than the introduction of a new Elite Class.
It has been revealed as well that Battlefield 1, via the DLC, will receive a new Frontlines game mode. In its most organic form, it's a combination -- with a little twist -- of both the Conquest and Rush modes. A trial of sort is scheduled to arrive this weekend. It will go live on both the Origin PC and Xbox One starting March 3.
