The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is already one very capable truck with its 450 horsepower. However, it appears that this is not enough for Hennessey Performance as it transformed the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor into an even bigger beast that bears the name "VelociRaptor".
The New Ford F-150 VelociRaptor
According to Road and Track, the current Ford F-150 Raptor's most powerful configuration boasts 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. This already provides a lot of excitement for those that consider themselves to be off-road fans. It was mentioned that Hennessey Performance Engineering, a tuner company based in Texas has just made another upgrade for the famous Raptor. Accordingly, the VelociRaptor is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that delivers 605 horsepower and 622 pound-feet of torque.
Ford F-150 VelociRaptor's Price Bites
According to report, the VelociRaptor package will cost an additional $22,500 in addition to the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor. This package includes the twin turbochargers and engine tune that have been tweaked to deliver the 605 horsepower and 622 pound-feet of torque. In addition, the package also includes an upgraded intercooler and low-restriction intake along with a dual stainless steel exhaust. The same report also stated that the $22,500 includes the installation of the upgrades along with 36,000 mile warranty that is valid for three years.
Ford F-150 VelociRaptor Comes With Off-Road Package
Aside from the abovementioned upgrade, there is also an off-road package available for a price of $12,995. This package includes LED scene lights, steel bumpers alongwith 35-inch Toyo tires with a 3-inch lift as reported. To sum it up, all the upgrades allow the 2017 Ford F-150 VelociRaptor to accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds. Compared to the stock 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor, the VelociRaptor is faster by 0.8 seconds as reported. In addition, the 2017 Ford F-150 VelociRaptor is also capable of covering a quarter mile distance in 12.9 seconds at a speed of 110 miles per hour.
