'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Manga Spoilers, Theories: Boruto's Curse Mark To Bring God-Like Power; Naruto Dying?

“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” chapter 10 give fans new details not included in the movie; Boruto was given a curse mark. This curse mark is speculated to give him power that might potentially surpass Naruto. Meanwhile, this also strengthens the theory that Naruto might die in the series.

In “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” chapter 10, Boruto goes to the area where Momoshiki died and saw Momoshiki’s spirit. Alerted by the enemy, he calls on to his father to say something was wrong however, he noticed that time has stopped. Momoshiki gave him a warning. “You defeated me who is a God so you will no longer be a normal human being. You will become a being higher than a normal human and that blue eyes of yours will take everything away from you,” he told Boruto “That’s your fate.”

At the same time, a curse mark appeared on his palm. Sasuke seems to notice something but Naruto is completely oblivious to the event. At that time, Boruto did not understand what Momoshiki means. As Boruto grows, the curse mark will also grow. There are speculations it will awaken Boruto’s hidden power from his Byakugan bloodline -- a god-like power stronger than that of Naruto.

Going back to “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” chapter 1, there was a preview of teenaged Boruto with the destroyed Konoha at the background. Boruto is in a fight with Kawaki who tells him that the age of the ninja is over. It was noticeable that the curse mark has grown to cover most of his arms up to the side of his face and his other eye is a Byakugan. Judging from the scar on his face, his other eye was injured in a fight and was replaced by a Byakugan.

This further strengthens the theory that Naruto will die. There are speculations that Naruto will meet his demise in the battle with Kawaki. Well, the most important thing that can be taken away from Boruto now is his father. Meanwhile, “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” chapter 11 to be released this March is starting with a brand new arc.
