First Lady Melania Trump tells sick children that they should rely on the healing power of nature's cure to get better. The first lady made her opinion about the hotly debated healthcare issue when she visited the Children’s National, a hospital in Washington DC, on Wednesday. Some people have interpreted her comment as a way of defending her husband's intention to remove the Affordable Care Act.
She took the hospital tour as part of her duties as first lady. While First Lady Trump likely intended to just give comfort to the families of sick children, the timing of her comment was especially inconvenient. Her husband is currently seeking to take away affordable healthcare from millions of Americans without any replacement.
According to The Ring Of Fire Network, it seems that the First Lady is suggesting that Americans who lose their healthcare shouldn’t be too worried. That's because they can just turn to the healing properties of nature. Mrs. Trump said that she wanted to inform the American people about the “gift of nature,” and how the outdoors can “contribute to the healing process.”
The hospital says in a statement that Mrs. Trump talked “about their personal experiences and health care journeys”. She also expressed her belief in the healing power of nature, that it can cure sick children. While there, she also met with the young patients' families, doctors and staff members, the Elite Daily reports.
Mrs. Trump’s advise about the healing power of nature have worried most people as her opinion on healthcare seem to echo those of her husband. It has been known that President Trump has made several false claims on the healthcare system. Earlier this week, the POTUS even declared that “nobody knew” healthcare could be so complicated.
