Nintendo Switch launched on Friday around the world and the compliments are rolling in on Twitter from various brands and companies throughout the industry. Some of the firms that congratulate Nintendo are Sony, Microsoft, and Ubisoft. Aside from that, food brands such as Domino's Pizza and Arby's Restaurant also send their salutes.
Sony and Microsoft Congratulate Nintendo On The Switch Launch
According to Polygon, different brands and companies are using their Twitter accounts to inform people of their latest products, promos and other important announcements. Sometimes, they also use it to oppose other competitors. However, it is nice to see brands and companies come together to wish Nintendo congratulations for the success of its Switch.
In order to show good corporate sportsmanship, the maker of PlayStation and Xbox sent out their congratulatory tweet to Nintendo on the release of its newest hybrid console. They also congratulated the success of the first game title on the Switch which is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both Sony and Microsoft congratulated Nintendo in a various of regions, which includes the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
As reported by IGN, the Microsoft Xbox’s executive head Phil Spencer also tweeted out his applause and kind remarks to Nintendo, saying that it “always great when Nintendo innovates in gaming.” In fact, the official Twitter account of Xbox UK went so far as to make a special graphic logo-like, combining an iconic image from both Nintendo and Microsoft into one cool piece of art. While Sony's official PlayStation Twitter account congratulated the Big N, with a tweet saying "we can't wait to play," followed by an emoji of a heart.
More Companies Congratulate Nintendo On The Switch Launch
Other game companies, such as Bethesda, Unity, Sega and Ubisoft, also sent their congratulations to the successful launch of the Nintendo Switch. The said firms are somehow related to the success because some game titles that are coming to the Switch were developed by them. Just like on Ubisoft’s Just Dance 17 that made it on the nine titles available to play in Nintendo Switch’s launch day lineup. The other eight game titles are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Fast RMX, 1-2-Switch, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, I am Setsuna, Super Bomberman R and Snipperclips — cut it out, together!
