The NBA Finals is only about three months away and some NBA news says Charles Barkley seems to have lost the confidence that the Golden State Warriors will be able to make it. He said that the absence of Kevin Durant in their line-up will tremendously hurt their chances of going back. How did Barkley come to this conclusion?
Barkley Believes That Dubs Have Zero Chances
Barkley stated his opinion on "Inside NBA" which was aired on Thursday, March 2. According to some NBA news, he said that without KD, the Dubs have zero chances of taking the 2017 NBA title. Barkley added that the Cavaliers is the strongest team in the league right now. However, in the case of the Golden State Warriors, the former NBA Star player said that their championship chances are zero.
But Barkley Says It Is Just His Opinion
According to Barkley, even getting out of the Western Conference will be a hard and difficult task for the Dubs. But he qualified his statements by saying it is just his opinion. Some NBA news said that Durant will be evaluated within a month's time. Although the Dubs have no timetable for his return, they are hoping that he could play again before the end of the regular season.
Are The Celtics Are Poised To Get Fultz Or Ball?
In other NBA news, the Boston Celtics are said to hold one-out-of-two chance of getting Markelle Fultz or Lonzo Ball. But this deal is a bit intriguing because the Celtics now has an effective point guard in the person of Isaiah Thomas. Could this mean that Thomas will go if one of the two is taken by his team?
This Will Leave Thomas In A Quandary
According to other NBA news, Thomas is now averaging 30 points per game and six assists. He is regarded by pundits as among the elite point guards in the NBA. But Fultz is also being touted as one of the future point guard superstars of the league. This could create an odd-man-out situation for Thomas if Boston insists on getting Fultz.
