IntelliscreenX is one of those jailbreak apps that make you wonder how Apple didn't think of it first. Some of the best Cydia apps out there are the ones that only tweak a feature that Apple didn't quite nail down, and IntelliscreenX is among the best examples of these.
One of the neatest and most well-designed features in IntelliscreenX is the shortcut menu that's added to the notification screen. The buttons are customizable and include shortcuts to activate the flashlight or Wi-Fi antenna. Just pull down the notifications screen and push a single key rather than navigating through a series of submenus.
IntelliscreenX also adds a Twitter feed to the notification screen — simply swipe to the right and your Twitter timeline will populate. In addition, IntelliscreenX can also mirror the notification center to the lock screen, which is actually pretty useful, especially for checking Twitter.
Here's the full list of features, courtesy of Intelliborn:
- View Calendar, Email, Text Messages, News, Facebook, Twitter, Weather, and more from your iPhone "Slide To Unlock" screen
- Taskbar Icons for Missed Email, SMS, Phone calls, and Silent status
- View/Mark Read/Unread/Delete your Emails from the Lock Screen
- Completely integrated into iOS6 Notification Center
- Post/Comment/Tweet from anywhere
- Advanced RSS Reader uses iOS 6 Reader to show "just" news
- QuickView/Preview Entire Email
- Reply to SMS/iMessages with Message+ (free)
- Integrated Twitter and Facebook pages
- Access QuickSettings like brightness, airplane mode, Bluetooth +
- Can "pull down" and display in any app!
While IntelliscreenX is no doubt one of the best Cydia apps around, it's also on the pricey side. You can try it out for free for three days, after which you'll need to purchase a license key for $9.99 to continue using it.
