Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Guide How To Get Warm Clothes

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a vast open world game with amazing physics and immersive weather. It gets hot in desserts and sunny places while it gets cold in snow-laden areas. The weather also has an effect on Link and he can freeze to death without protection. This can happen especially early in the game when he needs to go to Keh Namut Shrine on top of a snowy mountain.

How To Get The Warm Doublet In Zelda: Breath of the Wild

To get the Warm Doublet or warm armor that will give Link freeze resistance, there are actually two ways. The first, before heading to Keh Namut Shrine, go to the Old Man's cabin near the Owa Dam Shrine in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Head inside and read his diary on the table and the diary will talk about the Old Man and a recipe he'd forgotten of which he's willing to trade a Warm Doublet for.

On the diary, he'll hint on that the dish restores health and keeps him warm, but he forgot the last ingredient only that it's seafood. Link needs to make the dish himself and it's obvious that the first two ingredients are peppers and meat - if the spicy peppers on the table next to the diary are anything to go by. Take these peppers and hunt for meat around the area in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The last ingredient is a Hyrule Bass. Just go to the Great Plateau and head north until Link comes across a small pond - jump in and catch a Hyrule Bass. Cook everything together to make the Spicy Meat and Seafood Fry in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Talk to the Old Man, give him the dish and he'll give the Warm Doublet.

Another Way To Get The Warm Doublet In Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Another way to get the Warm Doublet is to finish Ken Namut Shrine by using the peppers to grant Link temporary resistance instead. Finish the four shrines required to get the Glider from the Old Man, come back to the cabin and read the diary again. The diary will have a new entry and a chest next to it, where the Warm Doublet is inside. There are also other ways to keep warm in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
